My film dairy of picture analysis

   This picture comes from Jason and the Argonauts. From this picture we can consider some information about this film. 
    There are a group of people in this people, from the position of the people and their movement we can consider that it was happening in a castle, the man that in the middle is the main character in the film, In costumes the main character wears a robe with golden stripe, and other men in this picture are all wear white robes and women are all wear white skirts, the setting of the film maybe in the Middle Ages because people in this picture dressed like in that time.The face expressions of them are different, some people are laughing some are looking serious, the main character are  just having a little simile, he looks like are think about something that are good. 
    In this picture, we can also consider some details about the film, the class of the film, it seems as the main character have the most power here, he is setting in the middle and other people are around him which means he is the leader of them. The character maybe is a king of that land, other people in this picture are his subordinates or people who have less power than him, you can see they are not on an equal footing.The genre of this film is narrative fiction, because the people in the film their expression and movement looked like planed and acting, so it must be narrative fiction.

My film diary of La jetée

                      La jetée is a French short film that made by 1962, this film is a black and white movie with the
               background of the  World War III, the main character in this film watched a man's death in his 
               childhood, he was survive after the World War III, then he was sending to a Time travel experiment
               to see the future and the past and finally he find that the died man that he watched in his childhood
               is himself. 

    

                      From this film, I think one thing that deal with very well that is the film use  some static pictures
                to simulate human impression of the past, it makes viewers can use the picture to image this story.

  The short film that I watched called "Two & Two". It is a 9 minute short drama film, I really like the powerful impact that the film created.

  It described a school that governed by a strict regime, the school only have male, during one class in that school the teacher told their this students two plus two equal five, he repeat it many time and want his al  students know that, one student put his hands up he ask the teacher that he think two plus two should be four but the teacher told him that he do not need think two plus two equal five, then another student stand up tell his classmates that the teacher is wrong two plus two equal four, the teacher is angry he find three top students in this school tell him two plus two equal five and he want that student write the right answer of two plus two equal what, that boy write down four, and he was suddenly shooting by three top students. After that accident the teacher continue teach the student two plus two equal he want students write down in their book, but student write two plus two equal four in their book.

  In this short film the drab school will make us related to our society, in our society people who do not have much power should obey people who have power, they need do things that powerful people tell to them, even do wrong things or tell the lies. In that school the students have to learned what the teacher tell them,the teacher tell them the wrong truth they can not raise an objection otherwise they will be killed. In this film, my favorite point is at the end of the film one of students are writing what the teacher tells to him "two plus two equal five" but then he cross out the five and write four to take the place of five, this part shows students know what is right what is wrong but they are not allowed to oppose the people who have the power like the teacher, the teacher forced them to remember and get some wrong information but students know they are wrong but most of them are afraid to say, one student who bravely say it killed by the school. This film create a school that is nonexistent in the society but we can associate our society,in my opinion the school in the film like the government and the students like us, the governments always tell wrong information to us if someone oppose it and tell the truth they will be punished even killed.

   The film made very good, the actors are nature and acting well, the film cutting is also done very good,the first shot and the last shot of the film are both really catch viewers's attention. The film make me fell shocking, I really love it.

Manipulation of a magazine cover

                                 

 

Here is an image of a magazine cover, I want talk something about this picture. The man that in this magazine cover is Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France champion, he is wearing a blue T-shirt and “38” and “BFD” are in this shirt. We can know that this magazine’s main topic is this man and his T-shirt, in this cover it said the shirt that Armstrong wears is  not his real shirt it was digitally added to a photo. Why editors do this? I think they want use a popular athlete with a provocative image to attract people’s eye, they think Armstrong should get the change of this year’s Tour de France, they think  his age is very high for an athlete. This picture will make people that don’t know Armstrong very well think he is a dirty and bad player, but in fact he is not, I think this cover must be very popular, because people always want to know some negative news about the famous people.
